Exclamation Planetree is a cultivated London planetree valued for its strong central leader, upright branching, and handsome urban-shade-tree character. In spring, subtle round flower clusters appear but are not the main ornamental feature. The large, lobed green leaves provide broad summer shade and typically turn yellow-brown in fall before dropping. Rounded fruit clusters may persist into winter, adding texture along with the tree’s distinctive bark.

The bark is one of its best features, exfoliating in patches to reveal a mottled pattern of cream, olive, tan, and gray. Because this is a large-growing deciduous tree, it should be planted where it has ample room away from buildings, tight walkways, and overhead lines.
