Green Spice Coral Bell is a colorful foliage perennial featuring broad, silvery green leaves traced with dark purple veins and burgundy accents. Its compact mound and airy cream-colored flowers bring refined texture, contrast, and seasonal interest to shaded borders, woodland gardens, containers, and pathway edges.
1. Planting: Choose partial shade, filtered light, or a site with morning sun and afternoon protection. Plant with the crown at soil level in organically enriched, well-drained soil, spacing plants approximately 12 to 18 inches apart.
Its foliage generally forms a mound about 8 to 12 inches tall and 12 to 18 inches wide. Slender flower stems rise above the leaves during late spring and early summer.
Partial shade or filtered sunlight is ideal. Morning sun can enhance its foliage pattern, while afternoon shade helps maintain healthy, richly colored leaves during hot summer weather.
It is semi-evergreen in many climates. Foliage may remain through mild winters but can become weathered or die back after harsh freezes, followed by fresh growth from the crown in spring.
